California Dreamin'

If I recall correctly, the last time I went swimming was with friends at the school pool 2 years ago. It's not that I dislike swimming or can't swim... I just never longed for it. It was different this time. I was so eager to jump into water. Once, I even woke up at 6am to swim.

This was taken on our way back down after finishing picnicking somewhere deep up in the mountain. How we ended up there was ..hmm a funny story. We bought food and drinks along the way and then looked for a nice place to eat with a pretty view looking out to the ocean.  Brother said he found a great spot so he drove. The more he drove, the higher we were and slowly the ocean view disappeared. Mom joked along the way that he was taking us to a place where there is nothing but dry trees. Though brother kept on reassuring us that it's a spot with great view...we arrived and mom was right...sort of. You had to step on the table to see the ocean far way but we were too hungry to go back down. The food was delicious at least.
To give brother credit- the place he took us did indeed have great views... the problem was that we had to hike up another 30 minutes. We were too hungry to be up for the adventure.
The place is called the Charmlee Wilderness Park.

Playing along the shore as the sun started to set right in front of us. It sure was beautiful!
p.s the hat fell in the water and that was it. it's too flappy to wear it now. (rip to the hat I only got to wear once)
